Since you are unfamiliar with GIB, it's always good to click on almost every robot bid that has an explanation because it frequently plays something far from standard. Once you get off course, a disaster is the likely result.

On defense, GIB likes to make passive leads more often than not, and randomly plays spot cards. Nothing beats experience playing with GIB (or any robot) to get a general idea what to expect.
