Playing semifinal in the Hungarian Bridge contest, and getting to the last board with this hand

Your bid?

Letting the bot play 4Ma vulnerable or try to steal the board by bidding 5?

Double again for T/O is not an option.

Well even in bridge against the bots it is a good idea to play bridge if you want to be better, so I decided to pass

I did not lead A, so the bot grabbed 11 tricks, and I hoped the 1 Imp wasn't decisive

But I lost the match by one, because my opponent did bid 5 and was allowed to play there

6 down, but still winning 8 Imp and the match.

It would be nice if someone learned GIB about penalty doubles

I think West needs better diamonds to make a penalty double.

Not sure your partner was on the same wavelength about playing bridge when he made that second pass.

I wonder if someone gave GIB a lecture about penalty doubles :-)

Semifinal in the Romanian Challenge, a 32 board match, and I am trailing with 6IMP before the last board (44-50) (Noone knows the score, but I was trailing with 16 after first set, but this set was OK, so I assumed it was close)

I pick up this hand

I think a new suit at the 2-level normally is forcing, but the tooltip explains 2 as 5+, 2- and 9-13 points.

But with the very light overcall style from the bot, even when vulnerable, i decided to bid 2, intending to bid the some game on next round, but was left there to play

Seeing dummy even with a -lead it seems 2 to be the right contract, but with K in east there was 10 tricks.(Only 10 HCP in the opening hand)

But now look at the replay

My opponent decided to show the hands as good support in and 10+ HCP (Understandable), and North rebid 2 to show a minimum hand.

Now East found a penalty Double - not often seen.

West retreated to 3, and after Pass-Pass it was now South that had the problem

Bid 3 after being penalty doubled in 2, or selling out to 3 (Seems making)

I think bidding 3 is the right bridge way, but the Bot will always just see that as some trial bid as there is an established fit in

So North bid 3

When I looked at this deal the first time I assumed that Easts Double of 3 was penalty, but reading the tooltip it suddenly shows 3+ - so I am not so sure it was intended as penalty

But 3X was 2 down, and 10 IMP for me winning the match by 4
