I ask bbo to please consider disallow someone kibitz table where one or more players have marked that name as enemy, ie blocked them. I do ask this for benefit of IAC teaching club, where some ex-members, banned for rudeness and many other coc violations, keep coming to watch our events, with one intent only - to annoy players and IAC TDs. Our events are always open to kibs, to help members learn, and outsiders see what our club does and eventually apply to join.
But I am sure that would be of use for players in any bbo room. BBO please consider.
And while there, pls consider limit whom zzz visitors can watch, it's really strange that they would come watch intermediate learning team match with Jec table and all other good tables playing + vugraph, which gotta be 100 times more interesting.

I strongly agree with this software update. A player how has blacklisted another player has explicitly made it clear that they would not like to interact with this player. Nothing good can come of that player kibitzing their table. I have certainly seen this in the main and other clubs like WP. allowing the player to kibitz then allows them to send chats to kibs and table, even if the player can't see it, and be very disruptive. In fact, I have seen someone prevent another player from basically playing because they would chat the cards from hands to the table. This is some basic harassment prevention and cheating prevention. Please add this feature to the new BBO

I also agree that this is a software update that is needed. There is a former member of a private club that complained incessantly about another member constantly kibitzing him. He used to call her a stalker. Now he is doing exactly the same thing to a different existing member. I didn't think of this solution when he complained, but now that he is the "stalker" and the solution has been proposed, I think it is an excellent idea. It could have solved his problem then and now it can solve another person's problem now.

I agree with this issue.
I think the particular feature that curls77 is asking for might prove to be a bit difficult to implement, but a relatively easier feature could be that any member who is on the enemy or exclude list of the host of a team match or tournament, should not be able to kibitz there.

Being a BBO TD myself for public events, this would additionally help me and other BBO TDs to split a cheating pair without worrying about the booted 'other half' returning to the table as kibitzer when kibitzing is allowed. This is the main concern due to which one would find that most public tournaments do not allow kibitzing till maybe the very end of a tournament.
Hope this feature is introduced soon in the software

Seems like a reasonable idea. Possible abuse of this change could be a player who simply doesn't like another person could blacklist them and prevent kibitzing arbitrarily and without actual cause. Perhaps a compromise would be to have the host/TD of the tourney able to prevent certain kibitzers while allowing everyone else. If some malevolent kibitzer showed up and bothered one of the other players, they could simply ask the host/TD to bounce that individual kibitzer.

Seems like a method to allow public clubs to exclude enemies from their club as TDs can ban enemies from a tournament would work.

I think not liking somebody is enough to blacklist them. In major events at live tournaments, a common rule is that any player may bar a kibitzer for no particular reason, and other kibitizers for cause.

Good enough all you posted, so allow me please change request with djc11's proposal. If TD, or HOST of the table, has player set as enemy, do not allow them kibitz that table.
