IMO, your sequence is weird, and an overbid. In theory:
  • You are totally minimum for 3c; 3d also showed minimum; so normally you should pass. Bidding on over 3d should show 13+; you have only 10.
  • Your sequence should just show a heart stopper, not a suit IMO. To find a heart fit you are supposed to start with 2H (if have 5+), or negative double (planning on correcting partner's possible spade bids to diamonds)
That said, with the definitions what they are, GIB should just raise to 4H, not bid blackwood. But I would fix the definitions.

OTOH, you have found a nice undoubled favorable vul sac against 4S, so what are you complaining about? WTF is North doing?

Standard GIB system bids to show a good 8 card suit (or any other distribution) not good enough to bid. Playing with GIB, you always have to be alert to the fact that GIB may have an unbid 8 or 9 card suit.

What's the system bid if they ever get an 10 or 11 card suit?B-)

Clear cut pass. There is no system bid for a 10+ card suit.

agree with most of what you have said. 13+ evaluates to 18+ in GUBBO's sunny disposition ??
I don't think GUBBO will let you survive a negative double with 4H and 2S.

Gib needs an Ace to cuebid so can\t.
Even if it could, probably isn't defined well enough to be helpful to find slam.
Gib's idea of looking for slam is to KC.
