This hand played a few days ago belongs to the normal circumstances, North open-lead cq, and South ducked, apparently contract depends on sk onside, but you have just 8tricks because dummy has only one entry. This is the normal type 3nt with 8 tricks.
One way is da covers dk to hope dJ in doubleton hand, but the chances are slim, There is another better way,you can make it anyway just need East has sk.
You should play CK and 5 cards diamond, keep 7 cards left, now East has been squeezed,he must keep 4 cards club and 3 cards spade at least,
If he discards his last heart, you can finesse a round spade then play club to East, and you will get last 2 cards spade.
If he discards a club, you can finesse a round spade then establish a heart trick.
This type hand needs 3 conditions:
1 8 tricks
2 one of the defenders has a open suiter trick and a 2nd unprotected card in other suiter, like kjx or kxx
3 there is an established trick in the 4th suiter.

Too bad 3Nt makes, I'd be in 5D.
