I am sure that you will get votes for 2♥, 2NT and 3♥. 2♥ is a bit heavy, and both 2NT and 3♥ are a bit light. But, as you stated in the title, this hand is a tweener.

For me, it depends on whom I am playing with. If they are very agressive, then 2♥ is enough. If they are somewhat timid, I would probably pick 2NT (3♥ on AJxxxx doesn't look right to me).

I hate 2♦. That is a bid that will get you to the wrong place most often.

I'd chance 2♦. If I don't get a preference to hearts, then I might be in the right place anyway. If I do, then I have an easy 3H rebid, and partner can evaluate accordingly (A & K of black good, anything red good.)

Edit: I think it may be important to note that I do not typically face this problem in my main partnership (we play intermediate 2 bids, so this would be an easy 2♥ rebid, even if minimum), so that my opinion on this may be particularly uninformed compared to normal.

There was a hand very similar to this in the ACBL Bridge Bulletin awhile back, and the concensus among the experts was that bidding your 3-card minor (here, that's 2♦) was best. If partner passes, you are in your best spot. If partner pulls to 2♥, then you can bid 3♥ to show this kind of hand. If partner bids 2♠ to show a big ♦ fit that makes his hand worth an opener or 2NT as INV balanced, then we go to game, but leave the option open of 4♥.

I do not usually make bids like this but I would bid 2D also with this hand.

However, had it gone 1H 1S then I think 2H is correct.
