I'd like to be in slam, although the suggested auction would not be my choice.

OP certainly was pretending to be a Vugraph operator who missed the auction. It is actually a good technique to use when you don't want a debate about the methods, and only want to know if we would like to be in slam.

Well at least it doesn't scream "lead a trump" like the real auction might.

I think (with no scientific basis for this) the slam is odds against on a trump lead, but with the odds on a minor suit lead, so it would depend how I bid it whether I'd want to be in it.

The better the opps, the less I want to be in this.

Huh... I need 3 diamond ruffs and I only have 2 entries to hand to do it with? Would really appreciate it if Phil and Gonzalo could explain their line of play.

On a non trump lead I can duck a club, hence my comments above.
