West deals, white vs red. Where will your bidding take you and where would you prefer to be?

1C - 1S
2C - ??
.......2D! = cheapest new suit forcing ( may be artificial )
.......2H = weak 5s/4 or 5h ( EDIT: a stronger 5/4+ hand would go thru 2D! first )

after: 2H
2S - all pass

I really disagree with 1n opening bid this hand has too much
potential BUT it is because of the long club suit. My sequence
will be 1c 1s 3c pass may not be world beater but the shortness
of clubs in W hand yells caution.

This hand is just plain way better than most average 16 counts
I would not put in same class as 1n bid. I realize it is quite
common to rebid 2c with hands like this but I want p to look
strongly at game with a couple of aces and out knowing long
clubs will be main source of tricks.

This is not such a good hand for my system and I cannot stop at the 2 level on it. Bidding will start

1C = 15+ nat/bal or 18+ any
... - 1D = 0-8 any
2C = 15-17 nat
... - 2H = 4+ spades
2S = 0-2 spades
... - 3H = 5-5 majors, invitational

Now East has a tough call, with strength for game but diamonds likely to be wide open. I think passing is probably best but I am clearly worse off here than I would be playing natural methods and much worse off than those with the Reverse F club in their bag. :angry:

I would open 2 precision (6+ or 5+ and 4M), and after p bids 2(relay), I am bidding 3NT, showing a (semi)solid suit and side values. Partner will let me play there. Using standart methods I will surely open 1NT and p will me force me to some major game.
