partner bid S before you so hes going to play 4S (defense will be almost double dummy)
But if you play 3Nt they will know nothing of your hand (only that you have 8+pts)

From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Can you come up with a hand for partner where 4S makes and 3NT doesn't?

If partner has
AKQ
x
AKxx
QJT9x
Then depending on how we guess to hold up the heart suit, we can go wrong and lose 4 hearts and the AC, while we only have 6 top tricks. Spades is petty safe with the short heart hand able to ruff. There are other layouts like having a wide open diamond suit with no other losers where 3NT may fail, but i view those as much much less likely.

3N. I don't see partner having AKQ of spades as a likely layout.

Doesn't matter who declares, with these distributions and strength 3NT WTP.

partner bid 3nt WTP and I was thinking that it might be close. But its isnt 3Nt has 99% of success vs 93% for 4S.
opener going to have a stiff honnor slightly under 50% of the times wich is way higher than i was expecting.

Doesn't really surprise me. Think of it this way: Opps have 9-13 HCP, and only 8 of their 26 cards are hearts, so it's not really a given that they have ♥KQJ...
