The T will work as long as partner has either A or A. The alternative requires partner to have an entry and the Q

Do you know that Tim Seres played Gerber?

I going out on a limb here, but you don't know opps and so I guess it's not Tim Seres. Btw he died exactly 3 years ago (to the day!) and I don't think this problem is more than 3 years old...

"Btw he died exactly 3 years ago (to the day!)"

There is a funny story about Tim Seres. The NSW Bridge asscn held an event where 3 weak ranked players played in a teams match with assigned experts.
Two teams were discussing there respective captains.
"What is your captain like?"
"He is great, he always tells us when we bid badly or did something wrong. What about yours?"
"He is a nice enough old chap, but he never says anything except 'well done' or 'good bid". Mind you, we are leading the event by a long way"

Guess which team had Tim as a captain?

Against clams, I lead the 10.

Against scallops or oysters, I lead the 3.

(just kidding, I lead the 10 against them too).
Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
So many experts, not enough X cards.
