When you're eating a sandwich, halfway through you should flip the sandwich over so the top becomes the bottom. It will taste different.

When you roast a chicken on its side, turning it over when it's half done helps cook it more evenly and keeps some parts from drying out. Using gravity in this way is also useful when eating some sandwiches. Not saying anything about the applicability of roasting to sandwich eating.

On a related note, I once ordered a Whopper at Burger King with two bun tops. Not only did they do it but the guy didn't even blink, just said "whopper two bun tops" into his little microphone.
My friend behind my had a heart of gold and ordered a Whopper with two bun bottoms so they would break even.

We just had the biggest snowing day in Madrid, biggest since I live here (20 years). I is also the 3rd snow this season, and I don't recall having snow more than once ever.

I'm in Canada and something like 90% of our population lives within an hour of the U.S. border. Why? We huddle together to keep warm.

There are usually no "classic winters" at the Lower Rhine, but now I have experienced really heavy snow blizzards for the first time here....right time to drink wine and play bridge
