Hello. I am a newly registered TD and trying to learn on fast track how to manage tournaments. I am looking for solutions to minimizing TD Calls.
I am wondering if there is a description setting that can be invoked to issue a warning of automatic disconnection to any player taking longer than a specified period of time during bidding and/or during playing, similar to what is already available at numerous tournaments being organized on BBO.

I imagine you mean an automated notification to TD, which is not what people will think the thread is about
I agree it would be useful and should be available.
I hope you do not want players automatically booted merely for taking time, which is not bridge.

Currently the feature of automatically booting slow players is limited to the "automated fun" tournaments, it's not available in ordinary tournaments like the ones you can create.

I'd like this at the club too.

Our club has it!
You can't think 30 seconds without someone (even dummy) making it obvious you are expected to call/play.
Joking apart, we don't have a significant problem of people who take long pauses for no good reason. Perhaps because this is face to face and it's easy enough for them to exchange UI without exaggerating the pauses, unlike online where I regularly encounter players delaying a minute or more with no real decision to make (nor I suspect any network problem either).
