We're not aware of any issues with BBO. Try another app, to check that whatever happens isnt from your internet connection.
Or, try to login from your browser (Chrome, Safari), by visiting bridgebase.com -- see if that works.

BBO just failed hopelessly here in Italy, killing tournaments starting around 9PM CET.
It exposed all the weaknesses of the claimed keep-alive mechanism too, with the client hopelessly and repeatedly displaying and then failing to handle sequences that were clearly already dead 20 minutes earlier. I think I made the same bid 4 times.

The server wasn't really dead. The new code we deployed Monday night (Tuesday morning in EU) caused one of the components to crash and restart. Sometimes during the login process, sometimes after you're logged in. But the connections were up.

The connections were up, when you got back in after the crash and restart.
But what you were seeing as a client was totally incompatible with anything the server could be still be thinking, several minutes later... as I said, I was even obliged to make the same bid several times, obviously to no avail.
This implies, as ever, that there is no effective keep-alive between client and server.
