My partner and I have played in the 0-1500 Pairs game for a long time, but yesterday and today we signed in and registered, but then were not included in the game. BBO says stratification is either average (in our case 750) or higher player (in our case 880), but we seem to be excluded because our total is close to or just over 1500.

Did the stratification rules change?

If you could register it means you are still eligible.Being left out when the game starts is usually because one of you was not online or not available the moment the game started. It is not related to the strats or points - that verification is done at the moment of registration, not after you have registered.

Diana meant the verification (both online, not otherwise engaged (for example, playing in another tourney), and can cover the fee (if a paid tournament) is done at the time the tourney starts.
Collection is done at the same time. You get seated, you are charged (if a paid tournament). You are not seated, you are not charged.

Eligibility is not based on the combined points. You can play in this game as long as each of you has less than 1500 masterpoints.

Stratification is the grouping of all the players into A, B, and C when the game is being scored, and that's based on average points.
