Sorry if this had been asked before. I opened strong 2c, gib partner responded 2d waiting. I rebid 2h, partner bid 3c shown as cheaper minor. I closed with 4h and made 12 tricks. I did not trust gib's explanation of cheaper minor as anything upto 12 total points as i believed it to be a second negative, which wasn't the case. Is cheaper minor played differently?

This is one of the most commonly occurring bugs and is extremely annoying every time it occurs. It bids 3♣ as a double negative.. but also bids it when it has a natural club suit and some values. There's no way of knowing which
