Hard to remove someone I followed Not easy to put them back to neutral

Hi

I sometimes add/follow a person but when I want to put away that follow, and put the person in neutral, then it works for some minutes and the person pop back again as followed.
I have to do this process like 4-5 times until the person is removed. Why is it like that?

I have the same problem.
The easiest way to force BBO to 'understand' is to move them to ignore for a few seconds and then return them to neutral.
I have no idea why it 'sticks'.
