New Mail notifications

Logged in but Messages tab shows no notification when the News Tab is the active tab inside the Messages Tab - https://i.imgur.com/JGJky6L.png

Click on the Mail Tab - only then mail notifications show up - https://i.imgur.com/iZ5FQn2.png - see the 8 count in the messages tab.


Shouldn't mail notifications show up all the time - that's pretty much standard UI design.

I am on Windows 10 with Firefox Browser.
