I rather think I'll pass. I'm slightly suspicious that partner couldn't double.

3NT a second choice, unless double shows a strong NT hand.

3NT, too bad no one said why yet so I will.

After preempts like this it is usually a good idea to be agressive in bidding 3NT even if you are worried about your values and your stopper quality.

Kxx will do nicely as preempter's partner will have few enough that it is likely to stop the suit from running as long as the preempter does not get in again. Ax is a similar holding in this case. Ducking once when the opps have 7-2 in their suit will do.

Also just because partner could not bid does not mean he has nothing. A rule after they preempt is to assume around 7 HCP with partner and bid accordingly.

That makes 3NT clear here. It will usually be right. I know it could be wrong, it could even be terribly wrong. After their preempts you will sometimes run into a terrible result and there's really no way out of this. Best to make the bids that work most of the time.

3NT can be a winner or a big mess.

Dunno what I'd bid.. pass, dbl or 3NT. Depends on what I had for dinner.. lol.

appreciate for everyone's reply. and 3nt seems popular one here, and i am starting to like this bid now, :)

to further discuss the 3nt bids, i need compare 3nt with X.
X seems lead to 4h/5d contract, unless partner jump to 5C. well X would certainly bypass 3nt.

however by bidding 3nt, it's very hard to explore 44 or 54 heart fit. does anyone have better idea, especially partner holding singleton/void spade. suit contract would be more attractive.

this is the full hand,

4h works here, 3nt depending on leads. (it doesn't meean 3nt is bad contract).

its either pass or 3NT, if you can count on patner having the right 7-8 hcp to make game then bid 3NT :)
