I have seen 2H being 14+ HCP. What should I have bid over 2H?

3♦ is correct. Your side has Qx opposite Jxx ♣. Without this club holding likely have 5 club losers in 3N.
North is free to try 3N but it's Gib's call not yours.

In theory other bids between 2h and 3d could say something about overall strength and/or suit quality. Don't know how the bot defines them off the top of my head.
