What action would you take opposite a gambling 3NT opener. Pass or bid on? Partner will have one of the minors with a suit of no less than AKQxxxx

It's a punt, but I bid 6C. 6m should make as long as the opps don't lead the other minor (assuming partner isn't short there). If you want to go scientific, then 4D shortage ask is an option.

Pass I have a sneaking admiration for Manudude 6c but I feel that bid is way more likely to get an A or K lead and thus a much greater chance at being set than 3n. 3N might even be cold. See zero benefit to using 4d short search however.

It's a curious hand, with a real chance that 6m or 3NT makes, but rare that both will make.

4D is useful in determining whether to play 5 or 6 of partner's minor. I would certainly bid 4D at IMPs, where playing 5m can be a perfectly fine spot and a slam bonus is on offer. Jumping to 6C is just asking for an aggressive lead though.

At matchpoints I would likely just pass, since there are multiple ways to win.

4♦ singleton ask is cute. Why shouldn't partner have a stiff minor?

There is a case for 4♦ being pass/correct.
After all, what is responder supposed to do with

I like 4D asking shortness, quite content to play 5 of a minor if there is no good news. They are unlikely to lead a major against 3N and may even bang off the first 5 to 7 minor tricks with us cold for a slam, or just game. Even granny knew to lead her minor from AQ 5th or 6th.Passing just does not rate to be a winner.

Not sitting. Unlike sfi, I wouldn't say one or the other between 3N and 6m makes, but actually both will go down because of the other minor or both will make thanks to the lead). Only 6m can make provided partner is short there, and 5m should very often make (only bad case is (12-03)37 with partner and diamonds split 4-3 which makes 3N=). So 4D "en route" to 5 or 6m.

I'm bidding 4 ♦ as a shortness ask.

If partner shows shortness in a major (4 ♥, 4 ♠) or no shortness (4 NT), I'll bid 5 ♣ -- pass or correct.

If partner shows shortness in the "other" minor by bidding 5 of partner's suit I'll raise to 6.

Without a stopper or potential stopper in every other suit, you don't sit for 3 NT. Here one of the minors is unguarded.
