Post 1 is from April 20th, early in the morning, my time zone. Probably the 19th in America but I don't count that. The process just needs some time to get going. I mean the idea is that we check BBO once a day. If I find the announcement in the early morning on April 20th and send out some challenges, someone will find them later in the day and if I get back to BBO 24 hrs later it's April 21st before I can play and post the first result. We have 17 challenges. If the first one comes in April 21st and we play on a one per day basis, the last one comes in May 7th. Or be it April 20th and May 6th, it doesn't matter. Anyway, that's why I was asking which weekend when you suggested finishing by "next" Sunday.

By the way the original announcement said:
'(2) Players are expected to play 5 to 7 matches per week based on a schedule provided.' (forum link)
With 17 matches from April 20 to April 30 we would be at about twice the announced speed!
Well okay, the challenges are relatively short and it should be fine to be a little on the fast side ...

I may have been mistaken. When the event started i received challenges by players way ahead of schedule. I played those and I actually liked it because I had sufficient time on those days. I hoped if I played them now, I could get the rest of the event a little more relaxed even if something happened to go wrong. I definitely did not want to send the message that I want the event to be sped up.

If the deadline is advanced to 30th or 1st, I wouldn't particularly like it, but I can probably make it.

This is my personal opinion, I'm not speaking for anyone else here and I have no idea how other players see this.

1) This is what I added to the first post:
<< WE DID NOT CHANGE THE DEADLINE OR ANYTHING, THE GAMES ARE ONLY 10 BOARDS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE GO IN A FASTER SPEED THAN EXPECTED. SO TAKE THE MESSAGE ABOVE AS "IF YOU CAN DO PLAY FASTER, YOU CAN ACCEPT/SEND MORE MATCHES AND PLAY THEM EARLIER - MAYBE WE ALSO FINISH EARLIER". >>

2) 5 per week is for 16 boards speed. I wrote clearly in the post that the expected pace is one game per day because it is only 10 boards.

3) I know some people just wait because they read the schedule different, although schedule just offers you a systematic way to send your invites so that you don't get stuck with 10 invites while a less popular person doesn't get any invites. We basically want everybody to send invites to others and play as fast as they can. Note that in Group B, people already played an average of 10 matches (today is the 5th day). I believe that this Sunday is very doable - but if it doesn't work, we are not gonna kick anyone out.

4) If someone sends you a match, you don't have to accept if it is your scheduled opponent - if it is your scheduled opponent and if you cannot play, you can reach them and discuss your options. For example, crazy4hoop even accepted my challenge, I played but he didn't. I didn't make it a deal, because we just have fun here.

5) But I am aware that some people (I am not going to give any names in public) always goes slower than the pace - they are even late for their scheduled games. If they also let us wait for the last day, next time I may be much more strict on them. For example, broze has something that he mentioned here, so I am super fine with him playing only 2 games so far, but if you just intentionally make the event slower, that is not fair to anyone who just want to have fun.

EDIT: I got lucky here in Board 2. My robot partner donated the contract to declarer in trick 2 but declarer gave it back by successfully playing a clubs finesse in trick 8 and then refusing to repeat the finesse in trick 9. Looks plain stupid. (Edit2: Or West was playing North for a Grosvenor gambit ;) .)

Mkgnao didn't play before the challenge expired. I sent him a message around lunch time (CET) today but it appears he hasn't found it or couldn't react. I have no idea what happened.
