But opps rate to have at least a 10-card club fit, so you are worth competing to at least 3H (not an option in your poll ☺).

A sensible requirement for a Michaels cue bid is:
Adequate high-card strength, honour-concentration, suit-length and suit-quality, to encourage partner to compete to the game-level, at least, when he has 4-card support for one of your suits.
Not vul this can be as little as
♠ Q J x x x ♥ Q J x x x ♦ x ♣ x x
Here, assuming that partner is just showing the majors, I rank
- 2N = ASK, preparatory to slam-try,
- 4♥ = S/O.
- 3♦ = NAT F1.
- 5♦ = NAT.
- 2♦ = NAT

My problem with this is... IS it a Michaels bid(?) I'm of the old school where a direct cue bid of the
enemy suit showed a rock crusher of a hand equivlant of a 2♣opener and forcing to at least Game.
It gravitates back to the old chestnut of partnership agreement.

Of course it's Michaels. The OP shows it as 5/5 Majors.

I also know that diamonds are going to be trump on this deal unless they are playing 6Cx. You see, when you play with me there is a special name given to my strong 8 card suits: TRUMPS!

First of all, I want to be in game, I am not sure, if 5D has better odds
than 4H.
