Ditto. I would play 4m here as natural, so I don't seem to have any sane options.

There are at least three sane alternatives; 4C - pick a major, 4D, take-out better spades, and double, do something sensible. I liked the last of these, chosen by Versace, I think. The bonus was when North ran to 4C. 4S is one off, and they have to duck the queen of hearts when you lead it. Your partner had QJx Jxx Qxx xxxx and 3NT is cold.

Without discussion partner might consider 4 of a minor a fragment, or even natural, but I think this 6-5 with longer spades is more useful, even if rarer.

Only if you are wearing your Official Monster Raving Loony Hat, bidding again vulnerable with 5-5-3-0 or 5-5-0-3 when oppo have 24+ HCP.
