Aside from the fact I personally think we should change ALL of our elected officials
on March 1 (what better way to give those slackers their marching orders), Is it possible
the long run between BBO FORUM POSTERS and JEC STARS may come to an inglorious end?????

The response to the past 6 possible scheduled matches has been so horrifically bad that
it has been expressed that JEC is growing impatient with us. This is a shame since it is
a wonderful source of experience even if the price is getting trampled beneath the wheels
of the JEC juggernaut and maybe made fun of in the forums:))).

LOOKING for volunteers for MARCH 1 2014 Saturday 2pm eastern. We need to fill the team by
4pm eastern Wednesday. That is about 8 days from now. ANYONE CARE????????????????????????

Just speaking for me, I am very keen to play these but find it difficult as they always happen on Saturday night in the UK and I am very often busy. I might be free for this one however - will check with my partner.

I am available - I don't have a partner, but am pretty flexible. Even willing to play Swedish Club or Polish Club with a little practice.

Unfortunately, I am not available to play, as I now have a poker game every Saturday afternoon when I am not playing live bridge.

By the way, the Ides of March is March 15. But I am sure you know that.

There has never been a large supply of "singles" wishing to play. JEC and most others want regular
partnerships (understandable). I can partner with you but it would be a good idea to get in a lot
of practice btn now and gametime so at least we can eliminate a lot of the easy errors that have
contributed to some rather nasty massacres at the hands of JEC. Let me know

Well well one of our esteemed colleagues has returned in our hour of need. He played on
a team that actually won vs JEC a long long time ago:)))))))))))))))))))) Let me know when
you want to get some practice in and since it is almost always first come first served
these days we should have no trouble planning on playing. best is to message me gszeszycki
on bbo where I visit quite frequently here my visits are a tad more spread out.

Now that's the kind of enthusiasm that we want to take with us to the hall of fame someday when
they enshrine the winners of events vs JEC. :)))))))))))))))))) When you decide to firm up your
plans some let us know and we can think about scheduling.

Well, since no one has posted here for awhile, I will ask if anyone wants to be our fourth for Saturday March 1st. I imagine you will get paired up with me, but I can play Standard American, 2/1, Precision, and with a little practice, Polish Club.

Don't be shy. We can't beat JEC unless you join the cause!

UMMM err sigh I am always so confused---assuming you get a fourth what would be the
name of all of the team members?????????????????? I have seen NOONE follow up on anything
and as far as I can tell there are zero volunteers. If I am wrong please let me know quickly
because we have about 6 hours to go to file our team members names or forfeit spot.

WITH our usual ultra strong commitment to play I was forced to throw a team
together just before crunch time soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
the BBO FORUM POSTER "team" ksvaii/partha47 papadai/gszeszycki wish us luck
none of us are a practiced partnership sighhhhhhh.

If you want to play in these commit to the date and say so it is normally
a first come first served set up. Ideally everyone gets a fair chance to play
against some top notch competition---if you respond but are not 100% clear
on your intentions to play I cannot schedule you its that simple---with any luck
we will get more chances to do this later on in march============================

At the moment, my Saturday's are typically consumed with blacksmithing lessons, however, one of my old MOSCITO partner's has resurfaced and we're talking about getting back in practice.

Would there be any objection to a non-standard bidding system?
We'd probably try to team up with Diana and Timu or some such...

The way I read it chase said he wants to play, and runem_pard offered to partner you to "defend your title". So you basically needed a 4th. Why would you discard two forumers for 3 randoms and name them BBF ?

if you go back and read all of the posts you will see I responded to every notion posters wanted to
play none of them followed through with any commitment. As time wore down I was still left with
no firm commitment from ANYONE and as per the new agreement we needed to turn roster in by noon wed.

I have same problem as many, my saturdays are normally impossible as I have a client.

Having said that I have this saturday free, and I have planned to spend it training with my partner jsabate on BBO, so if someone fails or has problems I think you can count on us (Send me a private message on BBO or forums)
