Is there any way we can prevent 'users' from joining a table for a 'couple' of hands and then leaving if they don't get good cards?

I doubt it. You have no idea who these people are.
I once got a class of 10 year olds on after several tries in their computer lab at school and when I got there they were already on. The teacher ran up to me and said "I got it working and it's AWESOME!"
They had all clicked on Help me find a game and got parachuted into the main bridge club. One little gal called me over to ask What does that gold star mean? (her partner) Then looked at her 2 count said Never mind and left.
Sorry Massimo.

Welcome to the forums, hash. Please notice that we have separate forums for BBO-specific questions and questions about bridge in general. This question is obviously about BBO (no one would ever do what you describe in a f2f game), so I've moved it to the General BBO Forum.
