We all want a level playing field,My disgust goes to the Chineese players, and some other Asian countries..
Scenario....... a pair of Chinese arrive at the table. One profile has nothing stated.
The other partner has Sayc-precision and nothing else....The TD requests all Precision bids to be alerted,
this is totally ignored,so we get 1cl ????? or 2cl???? 1diam????? 1n/t-- and no range stated,to boot..
and if you please if a bid is queried..one gets "No information"
it spoils the enjoyment....... regards

"Profile" means this occurred on line?

"Sayc-precision" means that player is willing to play either one or the other?

TD requests all Precision to be alerted. I would conclude from the no information that they weren't playing Precision, and might not jump to your same conclusion.

I willing to look past this as long as we continue to get such sensational thread titles. I don't know what it means, but I am amused.

I fully understand sayc-precision,can mean either or-- so why other opponent has nothing--- time and time again, having to click,1cl-1d-2cl-1n/t i get "no information" even no info if i click the 1n/t.
it all wastes time -one then gets shouted by ones partner, awaiting a response, and even the other opp "FASTER"

upshot eventually someone replies precision, and lotta time wasted

Free BBO tournaments will drive you crazy.

If you don't think your opponents are playing by the rules, complain to the TD. If they ignore you, don't play in their tournaments any more. If it's a free tournament, we don't try to micro-manage them. I'm pretty sure I've explained this to you before. As long as they aren't being eggregiously rude to players, we give them lots of freedom.

If I were to read the OP the "wrong" way I might conclude that this thread was based on a racist premise. I am sure if it were the admins would have edited it though. Would it make any difference if the opponents in question were Americans? Or are Asian players implicitly more likely to have CPUs in the OP's opinion?

I didn't even notice the mention of a specific country until you forced me to reread it.

However, I think it's more a reflection of cultural differences than racism. I think most inexperienced players assume that what's normal in their country is common everywhere, so they don't realize the need to alert. If Precision is the common system in China, then they're likely to be the ones making this mistake. China is also a very insular culture.

We just created a China forum in the International section. The people who requested this hope to use it to help their players better learn how to fit into the BBO culture.
