After a slightly optimistic auction you end up in 5 and get a diamond lead. What's your chosen line?

Jx of diamonds will appear on your right after 2 rounds of diamonds. If you play a club towards the Q at trick 2 the Ace pops on left and a spade return follows.

Best line, IMO, is to win the A of diamonds, and play a club. Win the spade return & play diamonds from the top, pitching a spade first and then clubs until RHO ruffs in. Overruff (assuming with the Q) & pull a round of trump with the Ace of hearts, deciding what to do based on which honors do or do not fall.

RHO ruffed 3rd diamond small, you can overruff with the 5. no honours appear if you now cash A.

I played as follows: club towards Q, won the spade return and cashed KD pitching my spade. ruffed a spade, cashed KC and ruffed a club. QD(ruff)overruff and now i tried to play a 4th club. I thought this would succeed if LHO ruffed with the K or couldn't ruff higher than the 10. If he ruffs with the J I fall back on playing either opp for Kx of hearts. However this didn;t work as there was Jx on my left and Kxx on my right.

You stole my thunder. I was about to say that I was going to play for hearts 3-2 with the length on my right if no honors fell, mostly because I don't think I can make it otherwise.
