IMPs -- Bracket 1 opponents. You're playing a Strong Club so your pass is a little less heavy than most.

A few questions here, some easier than others...

1) How do you play this double?
2) Does the double say anything about partner's spade holding? If so, what?
3) What is your call here?
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!

Takeout ala snapdragon (I love that name) so I expect partner to have diamonds and club tolerance saying nothing about the spade holding, I bid 3C.

Is this really a Snap Dragon DBL situation ?

[ Edit: I thought it shows 4th-suit only in 4th-seat ] .

1) and 2) I expect partner to have: at least 9 red cards (likely 5 diamonds - no 2 overcall - and 4+ hearts); 2 clubs; and at least 10 HCP. The double per se doesn't say anything about the number of spades, but looking at my hand and the bidding I expect him to have 2 (90% of the time) or 1 (the remaining 10%). I expect exactly 2 clubs, since: with less, he's unlikely to have a hand good enough to force the bidding to the 3rd level with no known fit; and with more, he would be leaving me badly placed to evaluate the possibility of passing the double. (The inference about heart length comes more from the opponents bidding than from the double in itself, I admit, so in essence this is pretty much like a Snapdragon double).
3) I bid 3. I have a minimum, clubs are not running and my (likely) only entry will soon be gone.
