This will be a blowout.

Tigers v. Mariners

The Mariners have Felix Hernandez (one of the best young pitchers in baseball), Ichiro Suzuki (probably the most famous Japanese position player), and Milton Bradley (perhaps more famous for temper tantrums than actually playing, but he's been in the news a bunch for accusing Cubs fans of being racist and getting traded as a "clubhouse cancer"). They also traded for Cliff Lee (former AL Cy Young winner, starred for the Phillies in the last world series) over the offseason, but he's injured.
Detroit is tougher to name players for, but they have Justin Verlander (another top young pitcher), Miguel Cabrera (a really good hitter), Dontrelle Willis (famous for a while as a pitcher for the Marlins, but has been a disaster recently) , Joel Zumaya (I just love the name... but he also has the fastest average fastball in baseball, routinely over 100 mph), and they got Johnny Damon in the offseason (probably shouldn't be famous, but was a member of a number of world series champs in Boston and NY).
Anyway, I think this should be an interesting series to watch, no reason to think "blowout." Both these teams are good but not great.

I swear I'm going to start keeping a file of references people make to me that I don't get at all. I've been a mariners fan but I don't follow baseball, don't follow the mariners, and didn't even know which team you were saying would blow out the other.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Milton Bradley.....I wonder if his parents were playing some kind of a board game when he was conceived....
btw
HABS WIN!
Cubs, Habs, same idea, lately, same result.....its only a matter of time.

The Grand Design, reflected in the face of Chaos...it's a fluke!
