Curling is a damn fine excuse to get drunk in the winter.

I'm playing the platinum pairs in 2 days, and my only practice for the last week has been matchpoints...with GIB.

After further reflection, it appears to me that not only is curling a damn fine excuse to get drunk during the winter, but it looks like it is Canada's icy answer to American bowling leagues but with the added bonus of being able to answer the ages-old spousal question of, Yeah, but what are we gonna do while you're playing?, with, here, take these brooms and you guys can sweep up while we drink..er play.

No wonder it is so popular....it's bowling for those with no balls. :)

It's Petanque in the summer, similar to Bocchi ball if you are Italian but they use wne instead of beer as the raison d'etre.

Anyone else found Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy boring? Parts of it are funny but overall it just doesn't click..

The black labrador hosted by me seems to complain about a political incorrect big number of cats in the forum avatars. She doesn't look very happy while watching this site at my screen.

I love the Hitchhikers Guide as a book. The continuations get boring. The film is for children.

But I "hate" Ingenious basterds". Too many silly mistakes in the story.
Kind Regards

As Kevin Costner proved unequivocably in "The Untouchables", the surefire way for a leading man to survive the scene-stealing qualities of a baby is to cast a really ugly baby for the part.
